Classroom teaching:
- Designed exercises for a lecture course in Modern Physics (WS 2015/2016).
- Assistant at the Advanced Physics Laboratory Course, University of Mainz (2014-2015): Supervising in the advanced Rutherford scattering laboratory course; responsible for oral and written examination of students’ laboratory performance; responsible for maintenance and development of equipment and laboratory protocols.
- Developed a part of a laboratory course for the students to learn basic concepts of nuclear physics and data analysis.
- Teaching Assistant, University of Bonn: Provided technical support and improved performance of laboratory experiments (2010-2011) and supervised exercises on nuclear, hadron, and solid state physics (2006-2007), graded reports and written examinations.
Engagement of students in research:
- Supervised a PhD student at the University of Mainz, working on the extraction of the scalar polarizabilities of the proton.
- Supervised a Diploma and MA students at the University of Mainz working on the search for in-medium modifications of baryon resonances.
- Supervised undergraduate exchange students from the USA, Canada, Russia and Spain. Projects included: measurement of differential cross-sections for Compton scattering on the proton, application of multidimensional acceptance corrections for three-body final states, preparation of the active He gas target and feasibility tests for the detection of dilepton production off the proton.
